Wright Flight Holyoke

Taking Holyoke Youth To New Heights.

We are pleased to announce that Vet Air, Northampton Airport Wright Flight, Holyoke Public Schools, and the Holyoke Boys and Girls Club have partnered to bring the world of aviation to Holyoke Public Schools students.

The Pioneer Valley is rich with aviation and our goal is to give our public school students an opportunity to experience and learn what the STEM and aviation world has to offer.  While Holyoke is flanked by two dual-use military bases there were no direct opportunities to expose students to this viable and lucrative industry, until now.

Wright Flight introduces students as early as the 7th grade to the field of aviation, its history, the principles of flight, and the many career opportunities available in the aviation industry. The Wright Flight program emphasizes the relationship between a strong educational program in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) and a successful career.

By exposing youth to the aviation industry at an early age, and providing educational opportunities for students, Wright Flight is instrumental in opening up the world of STEM and aviation to our youth.

Wright Flight participants are expected to have high personal standards and must say no to drugs, alcohol, and tobacco.
